In short
- AdGrep has no accounts, sets no cookies and shows no ads of its own.
- The server keeps a log of requests for 14 days.
- Visits are counted with GoatCounter, without cookies and without storing your IP address.
- AdGrep shows what Meta, Google and TikTok publish about ads. That can include the names of people who advertise.
Who is responsible
OÜ Trilevik (registry code 12337963, Rüütli 7, 51007 Tartu, Estonia) is the controller of the personal data described here. Questions and requests go to hello@adgrep.com.
When you visit
Server logs
For each request the server records your IP address, the date and time, the address you asked for, the page you came from, your browser's identification, and the response it gave. We use the logs to run the site, find faults and stop abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working, secure site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Logs are deleted after 14 days and are not copied into backups.
Visitor statistics
We count visits with GoatCounter. It sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses. For each visit it receives the page's address without its query string, the page title, the site and page you came from (shortened to that), your screen size, and — as with any request — your IP address and browser identification, which it uses to tell visits and browsers apart. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used. A content blocker stops it, and nothing on the site depends on it.
Settings kept in your browser
The page remembers two choices you make in your browser's local storage: light or dark theme
(apTheme) and how many rows to show (apPerPage). They never leave your
device, and you can clear them in your browser's settings for this site. Because they only
remember what you chose, they need no consent.
When you write to us
Mail to hello@adgrep.com is forwarded by Cloudflare to our mailbox. We use it to answer you and keep it as long as the conversation needs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.
People in the ads
Under Article 39 of the EU Digital Services Act, the largest online platforms keep public libraries of the ads they show. AdGrep shows what the libraries of Meta, Google and TikTok publish for Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland. For an ad this can be the advertiser's or page's name, who paid for it, its text, a link to its image or video, when it ran, and how many people it reached, by country, age and gender. Where the advertiser is a person, such as a sole trader or a candidate, this is personal data.
- Why: to make the advertising in these markets easy to see and compare, which is what the libraries exist for. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in that transparency (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- From where: only the libraries themselves. We add nothing about the people behind the ads.
- How long: everything collected from TikTok is deleted after 30 days, and everything from Meta and Google after eight weeks. That covers the published lists and the copies we keep to compare weeks. Backup and trash copies of deleted files are gone within a further 30 days. An ad removed from its library drops out of the newest list at the next update, and out of the older lists when they are deleted.
- Objecting: if you are named in an ad and want it off AdGrep, write to us. We remove it unless there is an overriding reason to keep it. It stays in the platform's own library, so ask them too.
