What AdGrep is
AdGrep lists the ads running in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland on Meta, Google and TikTok, ranked by how many people in that country each one reached. It is for marketing agencies, small businesses and in-house teams who want to see what runs in their market. Searching is free and needs no account. AdGrep is run by OÜ Trilevik in Tartu, Estonia.
Where the data comes from
Under Article 39 of the EU Digital Services Act, the largest online platforms keep public libraries of the ads they show in the EU. AdGrep reads three of them.
| Network | Source | Updated | The figure shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta | Meta Ad Library | Weekly, on Mondays | People reached in the country |
| TikTok | TikTok Commercial Content Library | Daily, one market a day in turn | People reached in the country |
| Google Ads Transparency Center, through Google's public BigQuery dataset | Monthly | Impressions, as a range, about 90 days late |
Each list shows the date it was collected. The networks have separate tabs, because their figures do not compare.
How reach is counted
Meta and TikTok publish each ad's reach broken down by country, age and gender. AdGrep adds up the figures for the country you picked. It never uses the EU-wide total, which can mislead: one ad reached 5,181 people across the EU and a single person in Estonia.
Google publishes impressions as ranges, counted from the ad's start to about three months ago. A new ad has no Google figure yet, though its first and last shown dates are current.
What AdGrep does not see
- Meta's library cannot be listed without a search word. AdGrep searches for the
commonest words in each language, for every media type, so an ad that uses none of them is
missed. The words are:
- Estonian: ja, on, ei, oma, nüüd
- Finnish: ja, on, ei, nyt, voit
- Latvian: un, ir, ar, par, tagad
- Lithuanian: ir, su, yra, dabar, jūsų
- Only each market's main language is covered so far. Russian-language ads in Estonia and Latvia are not listed yet.
- Small ads are left out. The floors are:
- Meta: 1,000 people reached in Estonia and Latvia, 5,000 in Finland and Lithuania;
- TikTok: 5,000 people reached;
- Google: 50,000 impressions, or 200,000 in Finland.
- TikTok is searched from its most-reached ads down, plus local words for smaller local ads, within a daily request limit. Its coverage of small ads is partial.
- Google gives no ad text or image, only the advertiser, format, dates and a link.
- All figures count paid delivery only, not organic views.
Risers and new ads
- Risers are the ads that gained the most reach since the previous collection: the week before for Meta, and at least a week before for TikTok.
- Reach per day divides an ad's reach by the days it has run, which brings fast starters to the top.
- New means started in the last 14 days.
